This Fall 2021, we are taking special precautions to ensure that Rush is a safe process. You are welcome to attend Rush 100% virtually through Zoom! If you would like to come to in-person events, we will be holding small events on Tuesday and Wednesday of Rush Week (Details are pending based on FSU & CDC guidelines. Masks will be required at all times. Rooms/Locations TBD). Your decision will have no impact on your admission to the sorority; choose whatever makes you most comfortable! Sisterhood and service are more important than ever during these times, and safety is our top priority.

Rush and Recruitment is a week long process where Potential New Members (PNM's) are welcome to come learn about Delta Nu Zeta, see what we have to offer, and meet all of our lovely sisters! During Rush, we want to get to know you and teach you about our sorority. We consider our Rush and Recruitment process to be more laid back than the traditional Panhellenic process. We encourage you to come as you are or in whatever makes you feel comfortable and beautiful. During these days we will provide PNM's with information about Delta Nu Zeta, as well as play games and ice breakers that help you get to know the sisters and other rushees. Thursday and Friday of Rush Week are invite only. We look forward to meeting you!

  • How can I contact someone with questions?

    • You can follow us on Facebook at "Delta Nu Zeta at Florida State University" or Instagram @deltanuzetafsu and send us a message. Our Historian should be getting back to you shortly! 

  • What if we are not able to make one of the rush events?

    • That is fine! We understand that everyone has a busy schedule. We hope and encourage you to come to most of them, but if you cannot, please email the account dnzfsu@gmail.com letting us know that you couldn't come, so we know that you are still interested. 

  • I noticed that your philanthropy involves animals. What if I am allergic to dogs or cats?

    • No worries! Don't let this aspect of DNZ discourage you from rushing! We have plenty of other organizations both on and off campus that we work closely with to allow our sisters to give back to the community and achieve their 20 required community service hours per semester. 

  • How much of a time commitment is Delta Nu Zeta?

    • Our sorority is very active. It is a time commitment, but we have many sisters who are very busy and even participate in other organizations on campus who still have time for DNZ. We meet once a week for mandatory chapter, and we also have non-mandatory events throughout the semester such as our Sisterhood Retreat and Fox Trot Semi Formal. The 20 hours of community service is required, but we are flexible and provide many opportunities to attain them! 

  • What charities do we participate with other than CARE?

    • DNZ volunteers with Light the Night, Dance Marathon, Relay for Life, Tallahassee Adopt-A-Road, Leon County Humane Society, and more! 

  • What if I am not able to pay Delta Nu Zeta dues all at once. What are my options?

    • ​​Don't worry! Don't let this aspect of DNZ discourage you from rushing! We have multiple payment plans in place, but if this doesn't work for you, our VP of Finance can work on a case by case scenario.
